Sow many seeds

My parsley plant went absolutely berserk this year with flowers that soon turned into seeds. Rather than the seeds blowing away into the next door neighbors yard, I trimmed the stems and dried the seeds out by leaving them in the sun for a few days. I then collected all the tiny seeds and stored them in an empty egg carton for replanting next season. I love the way the twiggy stems look in recycled glass vessels like old milk bottles or jam jars. You can also use parsley seeds in cooking. Fun!

A sweet, sweet new year

Tonight is New Year’s Eve and we’ve been invited to a friends’ place for dinner. Danny and I want to bring a fabulous desert. On a hot Summers night, you can’t go past the classic trifle! As presentation is the key, we chose bright Summer berries and filled our desert in a beautiful tulip glass vase. This is what we made.

Hansel and Gretel

I love baking gingerbread men and everyone seems to love eating them! So for Xmas lunch I challenged myself to make a gingerbread house! With the help of my sister Denise, this is what we made.
