Salts of the Earth

Last weekend, Cherry, Tiger, Daddy and Me booked an appointment at Salts of the EarthÂ for a family session to trial aÂ non invasive way of clearing and relievingÂ respiratory conditions – Basically to help us breath better over the cold & flu season.

When we arrived at the clinic, we were greeted by Mel who instructed us to take off our shoes and cover our headsÂ withÂ hair nets. She then escorted us to the ‘family room’, especially designed to keep the little onesÂ entertained duringÂ the session. Mel asked Cherry to selected a children’sÂ movie and Tiger picked out some toys from the basket in the corner. Mel then explained to us what would happen over the next 45 minutesÂ as she dimmed the lights and turned on the salt grinder that gently distributed micro salt particles in the room. She explained “now all you need to do is breath”.

Cherry absolutely loved playing in the salt. She found a spade and bucket in the toy basket and pretended she was at the beach in the snow!

Tiger was mesmerised by the aquarium and spent most of the time talking to the fishies

Excuse the hair net and booties… Cherry refused to wearÂ hers. Instead “Rosie” the dollÂ ended up wearing it 🙂

MYKIDS Emporium

I’m about to introduce you to Kids Heaven… Imagine a children’sÂ clothing and giant toy store, where playing and testing the toys isÂ encouraged, where the isles are wide enough for prams and sometimes even the Wiggles drop in for a visit… Well say hello to Myer MYKIDS Emporium, Melbourne!

Tiger and MeÂ were lucky enough to be invited to the opening launch and of course we brought our camera along to share the fun!

Cherub Baby Product Review + GIVEAWAY!!

Tiger is now 10 months and enjoyingÂ discovering new foods. While we were down at the holiday house, we decided to test drive our new Cherub Baby Natriblend Steamer, Blender Baby Food Preparation Unit andÂ On The Go Food Pouches.

We used carrots, broccoli, pumpkin and pear from the local organic grocer

Â The machine was really simple to use; chop the veg, placeÂ it in the steamer basket and press the button. You can also use the machine to sterilise bottles and dummies!

AfterÂ 10 minutes the timer beeped and the steamerÂ turned off.Â I tipped the cooked veggiesÂ from the steaming basketÂ into the blender, along with the steaming liquid, then pressed the button to puree.

Little Miss Cherry helped tip the content into the bags

You can label the pouches, keep them in the frige or even freeze them

Then weÂ steamed and pureedÂ organic apples we bought earlier that day from a cart on the side of the road. Cherry ate most of them before they made it into the machine!

We also tried the attachableÂ Colour Changing Food Pouch SpoonÂ that changers colour if the foodÂ is too hot!

Road Trippin’ in a Mercedes-Benz Valente

How often can I say that Mercedes-Benz wanted to loan me a Valente for the week to test drive and review! Pretty lucky indeed!Â The Nuffnang sponsored post coincided with Easter, so of course we loaded up our rideÂ and headed down to our holiday house on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula!

Michael handing meÂ the keys atÂ the South Melbourne dealership. The staff were all very welcoming and offered me anÂ espresso in the comfy lounge on arrival.Â Thanks for the tour of the huge multi-leveled showroom!

This beauty came with dual sunroofs, one in the front and a mega double windowÂ in the back

Barry the Car Seat Fitter, installing Cherry and Tiger’sÂ seats. This car would be perfect for a family of two of more kids!

Fully loaded in the boot but still plenty of room inside!

We even packed ourÂ cat!

Cherry called the ValenteÂ The Party Bus! It’s important to our family that our car is not only spacious, but very safe. The Valente has a 5 Star ANCAP rating

My husband has driven similar vehiclesÂ in the past and he reckons this oneÂ doesn’t have body roll and drives more like a large car

Was excitedÂ to find an inbuiltÂ iPhone dock to crank some tunesÂ for our trip

Love the Louise Paramor sculpture on Peninsula Link. Cherry calls it the Lego Tower!

It wasn’t long until they were both fast asleep

We arrived at Port Phillip Estate, one of the most beautiful wineries on the Mornington Peninsula.

Sliding doors on both sides made it really easy to get in and out

Arriving in style! Feeling just like celebrities with tinted windows 😉

It was fun getting around with friends in The Party Bus. No need to take two cars and only one designated driver! Buckle up kids – let’s ride!

Not looking forward to handing the Valente back but on Monday…
