My polka-dot fetish + Lark GIVEAWAY!

I’m completely nuts about red and white polka-dots! My husband has asked me politely to stop bringing home new polka-dot products but I just cant resist the urge! Lark is one of my absolute favourite online boutiques for quirky and kitsch homewares. I usually type ‘polka-dots’ into the search field before start browsing! This week Lark is doing a giveaway to one lucky Cherry and Me fan!

To enter the draw to win one of these gorgeous polka-dot cake stands, just leave a comment at the end of this blog post. Extra points go to Cherry and Me Facebook fans and Twitter followers! (Entries close midnight Christmas eve 24/12/11)

Hello, my name is Elle and I am a polka-dot-aholic…I wear them when I’m gardening

I drink my tea from them, open my wine bottles with them and I even eat from them sometimes!

They have taken over my kitchen!

I make my kitty sleep in them

I pose in them (photography by Angela Lynkushka 2007)

I dress in them

I strut in them

I even put them on my baby!

I love to shop for them

Doesn’t she look cute in them?

For the past year I’ve had a steadily growing but secretly stashed collection of ‘red with white polka dots’ items including mugs, containers, tablecloths, patty cases, ribbon, large jingle bells, clothes, a doll, a footstool and a set of small wooden musical instruments. Among other things, no pretty and useful cake stand yet 🙂 Now to decide on the right time to introduce these perfect colour/pattern combination possessions to the world! A Christmas gathering perhaps – or maybe a Minnie Mouse party; our annual Redkite music-a-thon fundraiser for children with cancer; a fairies and gnomes gathering; or a make-over for my already predominantly red and white kitchen……
