Port Douglas Sunday Market + Giveaway!

We’ve just arrived home from our first family holiday with little miss Cherry. We spent 10 days swimming, shopping, walking and relaxing up in tropical Port Douglas, Queensland. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the local Sunday Market. These are my personal top 6 favourite stalls for Cherry and me.

Tropical clothing by Betty Adams – 0418 215 706I had to resist temptation to buy Cherry the red and white polka-dot dress as I think she might be getting sick of them by now! So, we chose the purple polka-dots instead 🙂 The light weight cotton dresses and matching briefs are perfect for the humid tropical weather.

Spring Swings – www.babyspringswing.com.auHere’s Cherry chillin’ in a Mickey Mouse bouncing swing. She loved it so much we had to buy her one! The swing packs up neatly into a little carry bag and only weighs 1.5 kg. Also available on their website www.babyspringswing.com.au

Coconut Kids –www.coconutkidsportdouglas.com.auHandcrafted clothes and accessories for babies and toddlers made from cute vintage inspired fabrics!  Spot the sleeping Cherry and her patient daddy in front of the amazing view! Coconut Kids have an online store too www.coconutkidsportdouglas.com.au

Little Love of mine – www.madeit.com.au/littlelomLittle Love of Mine makes new dresses and kids clothing from original vintage fabric. Aren’t these dresses stunning? Each is slightly different using pre-loved doilies and sewn to an original 1950’s pattern. That’s little Amélie modeling her strawberry dress in the background. We bought Cherry the blue one for next year. Cute! You can find a small range of Little Lom designs on madeit.com.au

Could not go past this adorable cherry dress for Cherry! I’m trying to be careful not to smother her in cherry stuff for obvious reasons!

Lastly, something for me…
Rainbow Splash Clothing by Dianna Blair- 0412 145 606Look what I found for Cherry and me! These rainbow garments look tie-die but they are actually hand painted by a gorgeous local, Dianna. I love it! Plus we match 😉

Here’s a little giveaway from Little Love of Mine.
Little Love of Mine – Paper doll Illustration by Mia Bowen of her sweet little daughter Amélie. Just leave a comment on this post to be in the running to win. Entries close midnight Saturday 29/10/11 and the winner will be emailed next Sunday. Good luck!

    Hi Elle,

I don’t even know how I got to your facebook page, prabably all the searches I’ve been doing for nursery decorations. I have a one month old little girl Poppy – unlike you and Cherry I would love to find some little poppy dresses for her to grow into. Your competition is a great idea and your blog too.

    xx Casey and Poppy
