So here we are, part 3 of our Romantic Weekend Getaway to Tasmania. We hadn’t yet made plans for Sunday and were eager to explore more of what Tassie had to offer. The fabulous staff at our hotel, The Henry Jones, recommended we hire a car for the day and take a tour of the Huon Valley. They booked us a car and handed over a detailed map complete with their personal favourite hot spots to check out.
Let the Tassie Road Trip begin!
But first we needed to fuel up at one of Hobart’s more scrumptious bakeries, Jackman & McRoss, for a morning coffee and ccroissant
Hobart has the most gorgeous colonial buildings!
Then we hit the road to the Huon Valley
Our fist stop – Willie Smiths Cider House
Our apple cider tasting paddle
Our second Cidery stop was Pagan Cider to sample pair, apple and cherry ciders!
Later that afternoon, we were all ‘cidered out’ and stopped at Peppermint Bay Winery for a relaxing cup of tea with a senic view of the bay
And lastly, but certainly not least, the concierge planned dinner reservations for us at Garagistes
Hobart is absolutely gorgeous and such a quick plane trip from Melbourne Airport. What a terrific romantic weekend getaway for my birthday! I’m a lucky lady indeed!
