Bubbles, Butterflies, Babies and Chickens!

My absolute favourite room in my house would have to be our beautiful garden. Cherry and I spend lots of time there planting, picking and smelling flowers, listening to the birdies and just relaxing.

Cherry loves having picnics with friends on the grass

And guess what… We now have chickens!
Meet our new pet ‘Silkies‘. Schnitzel (the black one) and Cookie (the white one).

Katherine, the chicken lady, delivered our new ‘birdies’ yesterday. She gave us a mini ‘how to look after your chooks’ lesson and brought over all the equipment; the pen, the feed, the dispensers and even some sawdust. She breeds Silkies as a hobby with her son and has more chickens needing new homes. If you would like to set up a little coop at your place, give Katherine a call on 0411 510 258. Chickens make great pets for little children, are friendly and very easy to look after. They eat table scraps, fertilize the garden and reward you with freshly laid eggs! What could be better? We love our new fluffy chicks!
